A Valentine’s Day to Remember

When most people think of Valentine’s Day, they picture romantic dinners, roses, or time spent with a significant other. At A Cord of 3 Strands (ACof3S), we had the joy of celebrating love in a different—but equally meaningful—way.

This year, we spent Valentine’s Day at a local senior living community, leading a hands-on jewelry and card-making workshop. Residents created thoughtful, handmade gifts for loved ones of all ages—children, grandchildren, friends, and neighbors. It was heartwarming to see each piece come together, infused with love, creativity, and intention.

What made the day even more special was the intergenerational connection. Watching individuals of different ages collaborate, laugh, and encourage one another reminded us of the power of shared experiences. These small moments of kindness and creativity spoke volumes.

The room was full of color, conversation, and joy—and we could truly feel the love in the air. It was a beautiful reminder that Valentine’s Day isn’t just about romance; it’s about reaching out, connecting, and showing others they matter.
